Computer Repair & IT Support Across Ocean County, NJ

Computer Repair & IT Support Ocean County NJ Has Trusted for 30+ Years
Berkeley Computer Services has been repairing computers, supporting small businesses, and building out network infrastructure in Ocean County for over 30 years. In that time I’ve worked in living rooms, home offices, medical practices, law firms, retail shops, and 55+ communities from one end of the county to the other. I know this area because I’ve lived and worked in it my whole career — not because I looked up the ZIP codes.
Ocean County is a big, spread-out place — 599 square miles from the bay towns to the Pinelands, with no single “center” the way a smaller county might have. That means service here has to be genuinely local, not a technician dispatched from an hour away who’s never been down your street before. I keep my service area tight enough that I can be at your door quickly, and I supplement in-person visits with remote support for the kind of quick fixes that don’t need me physically there — whichever gets the problem solved faster.
That’s especially true in the summer months, when Route 37 and the Garden State Parkway slow to a crawl with shore traffic. A technician coming from outside the area can turn a same-day call into a next-day wait once June hits. Because I live and work here year-round, I can usually route around the worst of it, or handle what I can remotely until the roads clear. It’s a small thing, but it’s the kind of small thing that adds up when your business or your home network is actually down and waiting matters. Whether it’s you calling from Toms River, Bayville, or all the way out in Whiting, that local presence is what makes the response times possible in the first place.
Below are the towns and areas I serve most, along with what makes each one a little different from an IT and computer repair standpoint. If you don’t see your town listed, call anyway — chances are I’ve already worked there.
Where I Work
- Toms River – The county seat, home to the courts, Ocean County College, and the medical community around Community Medical Center. The busiest and most varied part of the county for small business and professional office support.
- Bayville – A Route 9 town built around a stretch of road, established 55+ communities, and a concrete dinosaur that’s been standing there since the 1930s.
- Forked River – Serving Forked River and Lacey Township with the same on-site and remote support Ocean County has relied on for over 30 years.
- Whiting – Pine Barrens country turned retirement hub, spanning Whiting and the rest of Manchester Township, with a large 55+ population that gets patient, plain-English support.
- Barnegat / Manahawkin / Stafford / Waretown
- Holiday City
Why Local Matters
A national chain or a call-center IT provider can sell you a service contract, but they can’t tell you which streets lose power first in a storm, which neighborhoods are still fighting with 1990s copper for their internet, or which senior communities have residents who’d rather have someone explain things patiently than be talked down to. After 30 years here, I can. That local knowledge is often the difference between a fix that works and one that just moves the problem to next month.
Whether you’re running a business that can’t afford downtime or you just want a computer that works reliably without a subscription upsell every time you call, I’d rather earn a long-term relationship than sell you a one-time service call. Many of my clients have been with me for 15, 20, even 30+ years.
